Private Lives, , starring Kim Cattrall and Paul Gross, has announced that it will play its last show on December 31. Producer Paul Elliot said, “ Despite fantastic reviews, ticket sales have been slower than we had hoped for and it would be irresponsible to continue running into the notoriously difficult January period.” The show was originally scheduled to play through February 5, 2012.

The Associated Press called Private Lives “funny and insightful” and said that Cattrall and Gross “have an absolute romp.”  The New York Times wrote equally favorable reviews, calling Cattrall “elegant, sensual and wistful.”

Private Lives, which plays at the Music Box Theatre, brought in $327,173 at the box office last week and filled only 54.5% of its theater.

Tickets are on sale at bargain basement prices as there are discounts all over the web for $49. Snap them up today and see the show before it closes.
