Alec-Baldwin-Photo-Credit-to-Mary-Ellen-Matthews-193x300Alec Baldwin, currently in rehearsals for Broadway’s Orphans, will be a guest on “The Late Show with David Letterman” tonight Monday February 25.  Perhaps he will address the recent drama with Shia LeBeouf.

Baldwin, Ben Foster (formerly LeBeouf) and Tom Sturridge will star in Lyle Kessler’s play directed by Daniel Sullivan.  This production will mark the first Broadway staging of Orphans.

In the play, two orphaned brothers are living in a decrepit North Philadelphia row house. Treat, the eldest, (Foster), supports his damaged younger sibling Phillip (Sturridge) by petty thievery, and makes the house a virtual prison for the seemingly simple-minded Phillip.  One night he kidnaps a rich older man, Harold (Baldwin), who turns out to have his own motives and becomes the father figure the boys have always yearned for.

“Late Show” airs at 11:35 PM on CBS.
