Hey everyone! I was reading through the May 16 hotfix notes for AFK Journey, and I have to say this one feels like a solid quality-of-life patch wrapped around some meaningful reward bumps. If you are deep into the season grind, you will probably want to know exactly what changed. I will break down the important stuff and share my own take as a regular player.

What got better with rewards

The dev team adjusted rewards for several gameplay features, and honestly, this is the kind of buff many of us have been waiting for. Here is what got increased:

• Season AFK Stage progress rewards

• Season Legend Trial rewards

• Season Corrupt Creature first defeat rewards

• Rewards for specific chests in the map

• Desolate Grounds rewards in Battle Drills

One important note: once the update arrives, all players in the new season will be eligible to claim the compensatory rewards. That is a nice touch because it means you are not punished for progressing before the hotfix. If you already cleared some of that content, you should still receive the improved payout.

Season Noble Path Travelogue issue

This part is pretty interesting. After an internal investigation, the team confirmed that the labeled value of the Season Noble Path Travelogues did not match the actual value of their rewards. In plain English, the numbers shown to players were not accurate. They are going to update the labels and add new rewards to the Season Travelogues.

If you already purchased and claimed level rewards, you will receive appropriate compensation. That is a big deal for spenders because nobody likes feeling misled by a reward label.

Here is exactly what they are adding:

One reminder from the notes: the Season Essence and Season Manual provided by Season Noble Path will reset at the end of the season. Please purchase responsibly. I know it is tempting to grab the paid track, but keep that reset in mind so you do not waste resources.

Bug fixes and improvements

There were also a bunch of bug fixes. Some of these were annoying, especially if you paid close attention to numbers. Here is the full list:

1. Fixed the issue in Supreme Arena with discrepancies in enemy team power previews.

2. Fixed the issue in Battle Drills where boss health values were inaccurate.

3. Fixed the issue in Supreme Arena where settlement results did not match the combat process seen by players while using Raging Duel mode.

4. Fixed the issue where quantities did not refresh after purchasing resources from the Emporium due to insufficient Hero Ascension materials.

5. Fixed the issue where the season opening popup would trigger multiple times.

6. Fixed the issue where hero upgrade popups appeared despite insufficient Gold.

7. Fixed the issue where red dot prompts for certain titles would not disappear.

8. Fixed the description error of the Vilebone Pendant in Honor Duel.

9. Fixed issues with some untranslated text.

10. Fixed an issue where discrepancies between the client and server battle results were causing incorrect calculations.

The last one is especially important because battle calculation errors can make or break a close fight. The team said they will keep an eye on further feedback, so it is good to know they are paying attention.

My overall take

From my perspective, this hotfix is a strong response to community feedback. The reward increases give players more reasons to push through AFK stages, Legend Trials, Corrupt Creatures, and Battle Drills. The Travelogue fix also shows that the team is willing to correct reward labeling mistakes and compensate players properly.

I am most happy about the Desolate Grounds reward increase. That mode can feel like a long grind, so getting better value from Battle Drills makes the time investment feel more worthwhile. The Supreme Arena preview fix is also huge because I have definitely been caught off guard by incorrect power numbers before.

If you are playing in the current season, make sure to log in and check your mail or reward claims after the hotfix. You might have some extra compensation waiting for you. And if you are thinking about buying the Season Secret Travelogue, the added Acorns and Soulstones make it a much more attractive offer now.
